PUBLIC CONSULTATION ON ROBSON'S 800-BLOCK

On October 15th and 17th, the City of Vancouver will be hosting two interactive presentations to do with the past and future of the 800-block of Robson Street, which we have come to know and love as one of the city's central venues for public congregation, displays of civil democracy, creative expression, and community engagement.

A Look Back will take place on October 15th, and encompasses a screening of the 1973 National Film Board film, "Chairs for Lovers", as well as a discussion panel that incorporates members of the original team behind Robson Square. It will set the context for the presentations and discussions in A Look Forward, which will take place on October 17th and address potential contemporary uses for the space, with inspiration drawn from other international cities. At this second event, feedback will be gathered about what future uses for the space are desired by the public. Additionally, an online survey component will be released after the event for greater public outreach.
