OH CANADA - CLOSING EXHIBITION
All good things must come to an end, and so it is true of a grand exhibition that is wrapping up south of the border. Oh Canada, the first comprehensive survey of Canadian Contemporary Art in decades is closing on the 8th of April at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. We just wanted to bring to your attention again the magnitude of this large selection of Canadian Artists, the roster (below) is quite impressive!
What is most interesting about Oh Canada? It focuses mostly on artists less recognized outside of Canada, providing a fresh glimpse of a vibrant art scene that is too little known inf the United States.
Director of MASS Moca, Joseph Thompson said of the exhibition "Canada's proximity, and shared North Americanism is a source of interesting friction. It's so close and familiar, yet sometimes we barely know it."
