FONCIE'S FOTOS AT THE MUSEUM OF VANCOUVER
Thursday, June 6, 2013 to Sunday, January 5, 2014
Foncie Pulice was the last man standing from Vancouver’s great era of
post-war street photography. Creator of about 15 million images over
his lifetime, Foncie captured Vancouverites in action as they strode the
city streets. His photographs trigger vivid memories for long-time
residents who recall the particular day, the hour, their companions, the
circumstances.
Curator: Joan Seidl, MOV Director of Collections and Exhibitions
Winsor Gallery's Brian Howell will be doing a response to Foncie's Fotos as part of Capture Photography Festival. Stay tuned for more news on that! But in the meantime, head over to the Museum of Vancouver to see a stimulating plethora of Vancouverites from another era.
