The
Arts Umbrella Splash Auction has just wrapped up for the year, having occurred last Saturday night at the CBC Vancouver. With over 100 works by artists from Vancouver and beyond up for auction, the glamorous gala is one of Vancouver's highest profile charitable art events. Our own David Wilson generously donated
More Than You Will Know, featured above, an exquisite black-and-grey painting of the sort of Parisian view that has occupied our daydreams since we learned how to say
amour. It fared extremely well at auction and sold at well above its appraised value.
Mr. Wilson has been incredibly generous this year, having also donated
Not Too Far Apart (below) to the elegant
Crystal Ball benefit gala for the BC Children's Hospital, which will be taking place on Thursday, November 28th, at the Four Seasons Hotel. Fans of Wilson's slick, realistic cityscapes will be delighted by his latest, a suite of which will be
featured at Winsor Gallery from November 28th 2013 to January 11th 2014. An opening reception will be held on the evening of the 28th as well, for which Mr. Wilson will be present.
