BRADLEY HARMS' NEW SCULPTURE: RBY

Come by and visit Bradley Harms' new sculpture "RBY." Drawing from his own history of using line and perspective in works such as Soft Wavelength (2013) and Single Event (2013), this primary colour triptych performs as a three-dimensional moiré pattern as you walk by.

moiré effect happens when two or more distinct but overlapping patterns cause the visual perception of an additional pattern. Interestingly, the term moiré originates from the fabric "moire," which is usually a type of silk that is wavy and watery in appearance achieved by how it has been woven. RBY is a sculptural weave of aluminum, colour, negative space, and vision.
