HAPPY 75TH BIRTHDAY PATRICK HUGHES! THE ARTIST CELEBRATES IN STYLE.

This truly has been the year of Patrick Hughes! Not only is he celebrating his 75th birthday, and being celebrated by his UK representing Gallery Flowers Gallery with a large-scale exhibition of his three-dimensional optical works, but he has exhibitions happening all over the world this year. 

Flower Gallery is also publishing a 200 page publication, Patrick Hughes: A New Perspective with high quality images of works from the previous four years. The exhibition of Hughes, Reverspective: The First Fifty Years opens today Friday 17 October - Saturday 15 November 2014. The Panorama Mesdag Museum in The Netherlands held an extensive summer exhibition recent and retrospective paintings, that wrapped up on September 7.






Throughout July and August Axel Pairon Summer Gallery in Knokke-Het Zoute, Belgium had on display a retrospective show of Hughes. 





On until March 22, 2015, Hughes will be on tour around Japan with artists, M.C. Escher, Bridget Riley, Anish Kapoor, Michelangelo, Pistoletto, Chuck Close and Giuseppe Archimboldo.
