HEADED TO BANFF? VISIT THE WHYTE MUSEUM

The Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies is curating an exhibition scheduled for June 14 – October 18, 2015 titled:
Water/Eau//Mînî/पानी / Wasser / מים /Acqua /پانی /Tubig/ H2O

The exhibition draws on imagery from numerous artistic genres and eras spanning the mid-1800s industrial era to current global pursuits. This visually stunning and timely orchestrated compilation of historic and contemporary painting, video and installations will examine the beauty and peculiarity of Earth’s greatest resource. Acclaimed throughout time for its unpredictability, tranquil qualities, ritual and hygienic uses, nourishment and abundance, the purity of water and its sources are under threat. Contingent on water for survival, the existence of humans and wildlife are also in peril.
